I was commissioned by Sunlife Canada to create a centre-piece for their atrium that joined two office towers on 4th Avenue, in Calgary, Alberta. The sculpture has the appearance of a glacier encasing the bones of a woods bison. The technology of the day would not allow me to make the shattered glass walls on the scale that was needed so I invented a new way to create a material that was not limited by size or shape. This technique was later expanded to allow me to bend the glass without heat and was the basis for my now patented process. I worked with a team of over 35 people, including engineers and a glass factory to complete the piece.
